Wondering
(I was wondering if you could help)是礼貌请求的常见开场;表惊奇时 wondering eyes 指充满好奇的眼神。与 wander(漫游)拼写不同,勿混淆。
- “I was wondering whether we could reschedule the call.”
- “Kids stood wondering at the huge dinosaur skeleton.”
- “She kept wondering why the answer had not arrived yet.”
“I was wondering if…” 比 “Can you…”
好奇), “no wondering” (少用), “no wonder” (难怪)
“Walking home, he kept wondering if he had locked the door, so he turned back to check.”
