Warned

“Warned” 表示过去“发出警告或提醒”,如 warned him about the risk、warned against smoking。

  1. “The doctor warned her not to skip the medication.”
  2. “Officials warned that flooding could worsen overnight.”
  3. “He warned me about the icy roads before I left.”

在新闻、安全和 parenting 语境中,“warned” 高频出现,如 warned residents to evacuate、warned investors about volatility。

  • 固定搭配: “warned against” (警告不要……), “warned about” (提醒关于……), “warned that” (警告说……)

“She warned the team early, and because they listened, nobody was hurt when the storm arrived.”
