Skedaddling

“Skedaddling” 指匆忙离开、快速逃跑,语气偏口语和幽默,如 skedaddling out of the meeting(溜出会议室)或 kids skedaddling when they heard their parents(听见爸妈来了赶紧跑)。

  1. “When the alarm went off, everyone went skedaddling for the exits.”
  2. “The raccoon went skedaddling across the lawn at midnight.”
  3. “We finished our coffee and went skedaddling before the rain started.”

  • 固定搭配: “go skedaddling” (撒腿就跑), “skedaddle out of” (从……
  • 原形: skedaddle
  • 名词: skedaddle(少见)

“The interns went skedaddling when the CEO walked in, even though they were only skedaddling through the snack table.” (CEO
