Scurrying

“Scurrying” 指因匆忙或紧张而快速小步移动,如 scurrying to catch the bus(急匆匆赶公交)或 ants scurrying across the counter(蚂蚁在台面上乱窜)。

  1. “Office workers were scurrying to their desks before the meeting.”
  2. “Rain sent everyone scurrying for cover.”
  3. “Cockroaches went scurrying under the fridge when I turned on the light.”

词干 scurry(动词,急跑、乱窜)+ “-ing” 表示正在进行的匆忙移动。

“When the alert sounded, engineers went scurrying to their laptops while interns scurried to find an empty conference room.”
