Pate

“Pate” 有两个常见义项:一是(略旧或文学用法)头顶、脑袋,如 a bald pate(光亮的秃顶);二是源自法语的肉酱、肝酱,指打成细腻糊状的肉类或内脏制品,如 duck pate(鸭肝酱)。读音因义项而异:脑袋义读 /peɪt/,食品义常读 /pæˈteɪ/。
