Outstrip

“Outstrip” 强调在竞赛、增长或表现上明显超过对方或以往水平。可用于 outstrip expectations(超出预期)、outstrip rivals(甩开竞争对手)、demand outstrips supply(需求超过供给)等搭配,书面与新闻语体中较常见。
