Newsprint

  1. “The smell of fresh newsprint always reminds me of my grandfather’s house.”
  2. “The quality of the newsprint was so poor that the ink smudged easily.”
  3. “Recycling newsprint is an important part of waste management.”

字面意思:News(新闻) + Print(印刷) = 用来印刷新闻的(纸)。

“In the attic, I found a pile of old newspapers from the 1950s. The newsprint had turned yellow with age, but the headlines about the first man in space were still clear. Holding the brittle paper, I felt like I was holding a piece of history.”
