Matte

  1. “She preferred a matte finish on her photographs rather than a glossy one.”
  2. “The car was painted a stylish matte black.”
  3. “The filmmaker used a matte painting to create the alien city background.”

例如,matte lipstick(哑光口红)和 matte screen(雾面屏/哑光屏)。

联想 Mud(泥土)。

The king wanted his new statue to shine like the sun, so he asked for a glossy gold finish. But the artist chose a matte finish instead. “Why is it so dull?” the king shouted. “Because, Your Majesty,” the artist said, “the matte surface doesn’t reflect the light; it absorbs it, showing the true shape and detail of your face.” The king looked closely and agreed.
