Lunatic
Lunatic
- “Only a lunatic would drive that fast in this thick fog.”
- “The proposal was dismissed as a lunatic scheme by the committee.”
- “He’s a complete lunatic on the football pitch.”
联想 Luna(月亮女神)。
In ancient times, people believed that the full moon made people crazy. When a man started dancing on his roof at midnight, his neighbors whispered, “He is a lunatic, possessed by the moon!” Today, we call anyone with a wild and dangerous idea a lunatic, even if the moon is hidden by clouds.
