Kicker

  1. “The team’s kicker missed the field goal in the final seconds of the game.”
  2. “He offered me a job with a high salary, but here’s the kicker: I have to move to the Arctic.”
  3. “The advertisement promised a free vacation, but the kicker was the huge hidden fee.”

“Sam was thrilled to find a luxury apartment for half the normal rent. He signed the lease and started packing. But on move-in day, he found the kicker: the apartment was directly above a 24-hour drumming school. Suddenly, the low rent made perfect sense.”
