Irreligious

  1. “He described himself as an irreligious man who never stepped foot in a church.”
  2. “Such irreligious behavior was once considered a crime in this village.”
  3. “The book was condemned as irreligious and dangerous by some critics.”

ir- (不) + religious (宗教的)。

“Tom was the most irreligious boy in the village. While everyone else spent Sunday morning singing in the choir, Tom was by the river catching fish. But one day, when a storm hit and everyone huddled together in the church, Tom was the one who went out to save the lost sheep. He showed that kindness doesn’t always need a prayer.”
