Involved

  1. “The plot of the novel was so involved that I had to read it twice to understand.”
  2. “She is deeply involved in local community projects.”
  3. “The police interviewed everyone who was involved in the accident.”

in- (进入) + volve (卷)。

“The mystery was much more involved than Detective Brown had first thought. It wasn’t just a simple theft; it was linked to a secret society and a missing treasure map. Every time he solved one clue, he got more involved in a web of lies.”
